Don't Forget Don't forget how the soldier lived, as he died that day, his eyes closing; still and motionless were he lay. On fields off red poppy's, on far away sun drenched sand, having to keep the peace on streets near his own homeland. He was a boy who became a man joining up with others, Side by side together, becoming best friends and brothers. Not wanting to die, but prepared to give his own life, for all that he loved, for his home, his family,,,, his wife. Not wanting to die a hero, but prepared to give all, not wanting to take a bullet, but ready to fall. Please remember that soldier so he didn't die in vain, Giving his life so that freedom is to stay true and remain. To all those who never came home fighting dangers and threat, let's all bow our heads and repeat the words 'Lest we Forget' ©Jackie Gorman
