The next event coming up on Thursday 18 January will look at the General Election of 1918 and the first meeting of Dail Eireann in the Mansion House in January 1919. Congratulations to the winners of our Age-friendly Belfast Older Volunteer Awards! Elizabeth Sillery was named Older Volunteer of the Year 2017 for her voluntary management of the Agapé Centre in south Belfast. The achievements and contributions of 44 older volunteers from day centres, arts organisations, churches and charities across the city were celebrated yesterday at a special ceremony in City Hall.
