Hi members I am taking this opportunity to update you on our Snooker section within the Club. We have 3 teams who play in the Golf Club Snooker League. Our A and B teams play on a Thursday night and our C team play on a Tuesday night. These matches are played from October to March. We are always looking for players to play in our teams. Come along and enjoy the friendship that the Snooker section can create. It breaks up the Winter and you get to meet members from other Clubs. It does not matter how good you are because the standard of play ranges from very good to average and in some cases could do better😥. Our teams at present are doing very well but there is still room for improvement. In fact we are one of two Clubs who are able to field 3 teams. If you are interested, come along and watch our teams play during March and this will give you an idea of the standard required. Our team Captains are as follows; A Team John Dickinson B Team Neil Forysthe C Team Andrew Laughlin The Snooker season is nearly over but we have two very good tables which can be used throughout the year. If you are interested in playing for any of our teams, phone the office and they will get in contact with our team Captains or myself. Ian Berry Vice Captain

We held a great introduction to social media evening in the Clubhouse for members. It was very well attended with much discussion and interest in how to use the different apps. Social media allows members to engage and interact with each other and also see what is happening around the club and further afield. We will be holding social media clinics in the next few weeks and if members would like to know how to download and install Facebook/Twitter/Instagram on their devices you will be very welcome. Information will be going out from the office very soon.
