Newcomers are always welcome and all levels from beginner to advanced level will be catered for. We look forward to welcoming everyone - young and old !.
For musicians who like to play socially, why not come along to our local Comhaltas music sessions. And if you’re not sure, how about just coming along to listen. Keep checking here for details of our up and coming sessions.
Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Eireann Pomeroy Branch was formed in 2007 after major interest expressed in traditional music, song and dance.
Classes commenced then in the early autum of that year, including families of neighbouring parishes. Classes continue on a Tuesday night from 7pm-9pm
Teachers: Fiddle - Claire McCrystal, Banjo - Bronagh Graham, Tin-Whistle/Flute - Clodagh Holland, Traditional Singing - Ciara Fox.
Classes are in a 5 week block with a 'family session' at of each block, where tunes are played, songs sang, steps danced and a cupan tae enjoyed by all!
Each year we have produced a festival of music incorporating master classess in instrumental music and singing with an eclectic mix of tutors from all over Ireland.

Hi all we are now a couple of weeks back at the ceol again and from next week 4th October ,we are having a mini session after the classes for intermediate level musicians . This will be for half an hour 8:30 to 9 pm to practice tunes and have the craic 🎻🎼

MUSIC LESSONS RECOMMENCING !!! - DON'T MISS OUT - EXCELLENT TUTORS AVAILABLE We are delighted to announce another exciting line up of excellent tutors for the coming season. BUTTON KEY ACCORDIAN & TIN WHISTLE will be taught by well-known sisters, Martina & Moira Quinn - Martina on accordian and Moira teaching tin whistle/ flute. BANJO is being taught by accomplished Dungannon musician Aaron Mc Sorley. FIDDLE teacher, this year again is the very talented Rachael Mc Garrity. Finally, new to out teaching team, is the exciting news that Niall Hanna from Derrytresk will take TRADITIONAL SINGING & GUITAR. Places are limited so come along and register early. Registration - Tuesday 13th - 7.30 -8.30pm St. Marys Classes Begin - Tuesday 20th - 7.00 - 9.00pm.
