Midweek call for volunteers! If you can help out on Saturday, we'd love to hear from you. See http://www.parkrun.org.uk/bedford/futureroster/ for info about the fun and easy roles we have available and how to get in touch. A quick reminder for parkrunners with young children. All young parkrunners under the age of 11 must be accompanied by a responsible adult all the way round the entire parkrun. If somehow you do become separated from each other, return to the 'finishing straight' between the Pavilion and the Bandstand and stay there, where there are many marshals and the Run Director who can help to reunite you both. The Run Director and Tail Runner will be introduced at each briefing, so all runners know at least two of the team by name in case young runners need some help.

Don't forget that on 5th August, Bedford Park will be host to the Bedford Proms and so there will be no parkrun on that day. If you're going to the Proms, have a great time :-D What about some parkrun tourism on the 5th? Join with your parkrun friends to run at Milton Keynes parkrun, Linford Wood parkrun, Huntingdon parkrun, Rushmere parkrun, or Wimpole Estate Parkrun. Let us know where you're running on the 5th... maybe even further afield! Happy parkrunning!

Shout out for pacers at next Saturday's parkrun! We try to get a range of times out on the last Saturday of each month, and it would be great any parkrunners could offer to help others to achieve their target pace this weekend. All finish times are appreciated as we've got parkrunners ranging from 16mins to walking pace. You get a runner's credit, a volunteer credit and a round of applause... plus a fetching hi viz bib! Sorry there's no medal/bling but the virtual halo lasts all weekend :-) Anyone who fancies having a go at pacing should email bedfordhelpers@parkrun.com and suggest a finish time you can run to while encouraging the runners alongside you. Big thanks if you can help out :-D
