The PowderMills is a stunning privately owned 18th Century listed Country House Hotel nestling in 150 acres of beautiful parklands, woods and large lakes. PowderMills Hotel is the perfect Venue for Weddings, Conferences, Private Parties or Function events.
We have two large Function suites, with a dance floor, stage area and fully functioning bar.
As well as these, we have smaller dining rooms which are suitable for elegant and intimate dinner parties.
With 41 beautiful, individually furnished bedrooms, and lounge areas each with their own decor and atmosphere, Powder Mills is a relaxing and peaceful environment to spend a weekend away with your loved ones.
The Orangery Restaurant, with its AA Rosette, is a stunning dining room with views out to the Grounds of PowderMills. The fine dining food is delicious and mouth-watering, you will not be able to say no!

The Orangery Restaurant has been awarded two AA rosettes for its consistent high quality of cooking and excellent service and is open for both residents and non residents.
The Hotel is dog friendly and there are loads of great walks to enjoy with your dogs in the grounds and surrounding countryside. Ground floor rooms have direct access to the front garden and grounds.
The outside is enhanced by ancient wisteria and there are remains in the grounds of artifacts used for the manufacture of the gunpowder reputed to be the finest in Europe.

Built in the 18th century as a Gunpowder Owner’s Residence, the property has seen many changes in its history, notable when it was restored and converted into the privately owned, charming Hotel it is today.
The PowderMills is a beautiful Grade II listed Hotel in a restored Georgian Country House in acres of landscaped gardens, lakes, woods and fields within walking distance of the medieval town of Battle, the Abbey and the Battlefields of 1066.
