We are delighted to announce that with the help and support of all of those who participated in our Parkinson’s fundraiser, in memory of Murray; at Murray’s Café Bar we have raised the grand total of £800.00 (with further donations promised) for Parkinson’s UK and the South Snowdonia Support Group. A huge THANK YOU to all the contributing traders who gave so generously from: Barmouth, Harlech and Pwllheli; not to mention the personal donations from people both local and far afield by way of raffle prizes and monetary donations. We have been overwhelmed by the genuine interest people have taken in this event and we would particularly like to thank Alex Jones at the Cambrian News and Joy Burgess from the Daily Post for both their moving tributes and publicising the fundraiser as well as, Lord Dafydd Elis-Thomas and councillor Louise Hughes for attending on the day and Liz Saville-Roberts MP for her time in officiating the Raffle drawn on Saturday. Lastly, we’d like to say a special thank you to both Dawn McGuinness, Parkinson’s UK Volunteer Coordinator, for making the special journey from Llandudno to help and Elaine Evans Co-ordinator from the South Snowdonia Parkinson’s Support Group for her all her efforts and practical assistance.

Thank you everyone for you support yesterday. Just to let everyone know there are still cakes available, pick a straw lucky dips (£1 a go) and raffle tickets (£1 a strip will be drawn tomorrow at noon). Come on in, you've got to be in it to win it! ☺
