In light of it being #WorldHealthDay, we thought we'd share this message again! REACTIVE or PRO-ACTIVE? 🤔 In a world full of dictators, "professionals" and well, every Tom, Dick and Harry claiming that they are the best in the industry with very little to prove them different than anyone else, I was reflecting on how I now handle my affairs in life, business and all round happiness! From the age of 16 I was taught this - BE PRO-ACTIVE and think for yourself! 👍🏻 I adopted that advice and it allowed me a pretty decent military career, however I had to adopt a very 'reactive' response on many occasion when it came to decision making. BUT, here's the thing ...my pro-activeness helped me make ANY decision on the ground. SO, WHICH ONE ARE YOU❓ Do you sit around complaining and think 'Aw, one more day and I'll start' then BAMMM, health takes a dip and you react by trying to get healthy? Or are you pro-active? Are you already trying to change a few things about your lifestyle and taking a better approach to your health? FOLKS, we only have ONE heart and ONE body, we get ONE shot at life! You have to be PRO-ACTIVE on your health or sometimes the reaction to bad news may just be too late. Aches and pains, shortness of breath, struggling to sleep, struggling to play with the kids for more than 5 minutes, headaches, day time naps, non regular toilet visits, no staple clean protein in your diet, no good fat sources... I could go on forever. Start being pro-active, do you need to employ a PT? NO! Follow these 5 simple steps for 2 weeks and I guarantee you small changes in mood and function - 1. Drink at least 2 litres of water per day (if you already do this, push it up by 0.5 litre (this is only pure water). 2. Bring a good fish oil into your daily routine. 3. For 2 weeks, only allow yourself 1 take away meal. 4. Get to bed 30 mins earlier than normal. 5. Try and exercise at least 5 times in the next 2 weeks. Feel free to tag a mate that you feel could benefit and it doesn't mean that they are overweight, it just means you are trying to become a bit more healthy! 👏🏻 Being as pro-active as possible will mean when disaster strikes, you are prepared. Wait until disaster strikes and employ a reactive style, you leave a hell of a lot to chance and your health should never be gambled with 👊🏻❤️ #BeYourBest #Simple #Health #ThinkAboutIt
