It goes deep into the pores of the teeth - the dentin- and oxidizes the molecules that make the teeth appear dark, yellow and stained. WILL TEETH WHITENING WORK FOR ME? In short yes teeth whitening will work for everyone with natural teeth, results will vary widely due to genetics, lifestyle, age, smoker. Teeth whitening does not give good results to those with tetracycline damage. WHAT RESULTS CAN I EXPECT? As above results can vary from person to person, on average we see a change between 6-8 shades whiter with use of a full kit WILL MY VENEERS WHITEN? Teeth whitening is for natural teeth only however if the veneers or caps have been in long time its possible to remove surface stains HOW LONG UNTIL I CAN EAT OR DRINK? We always recommend to refrain from eating or drinking for atleast 30 mins afterwards, we do not recommend smoking, drinking or eating coloured foods or liquids for 24 hours after a full treatment (4 applications in one session) WHAT CAUSES DISCOLORATION? Tea, coffee, wine, smoking. The dentin also naturally darkens with age HOW OFTEN SHOULD I WHITEN MY TEETH? We advise two full kits twice a year is more than enough to keep your teeth pearly white CAN I USE THIS IF I AM PREGNANT OR BREASTFEEDING? Unfortunately not, there is not enough research to prove this is safe for pregnant or breastfeeding mothers WHAT AGE CAN I USE FROM? You should be atleast 18 years old before using any teeth whitening treatment
