Hello everyone and welcome to 2018! There have been requests for our events schedule for this year, the first few events have now been created under the events tab. This year we are going to use horse events for online entries, this is not yet live and so entries aren't open at the moment, we will let you know as soon as entries are open along with the website and link for you to enter. We look forward to seeing both old faces and new at Lyford in the forthcoming season! Meanwhile if you have any questions please just ask!

Well that's it folks for 2017. Another fabulous year is drawing to a close. We've had the most wonderful time watching partnerships bond and grow, from nervous first timers to winning combinations......we've loved sharing those moments with you. We would like to thank each and every one of you who have been with us this year as a rider, groom, driver, parent or support crew, you have all played your part in an amazing year. A special thanks must go to our judges, stewards, pole pickers, timers, office wallers and writers, the shows really wouldn't be able to run without you. Team Lyford wish you all the best for 2018 and hope to see you soon. If you have any pictures of any of your moments from this year please send them, we'd love to wave goodbye to 2017 with your special moments!!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!! xxxxx

Dear competitors, our chef's mother has been taken poorly. For this reason we have no hot food today. Apologies to everyone looking forward to one of our super duper baps or burgers but we cannot find a replacement at short notice 😔

We are so grateful to our lovely sponsors who for this ode are Juliet Paton from Cotswold equine rug washing who are generously giving each of our class winners a £25 voucher for rug washing/repairs/reproofing. If anyone has any rugs they'd like sorting after the summer or before the cold weather really hits then I'm happy to collect them at our show on Saturday and send them off. Also to Nicky Taylor from Denchworth equestrian who are supplying us with a bucket of lucky dip prizes for all of our entrants in class 1!!! Nicky can't make it on Saturday but please look her up for all your equestrian supplies. Her mobile shop has everything you need as well as all those things you didn't realise you just can't do without!!

Times for our final ode of the year are as follows: As always, these are times for dressage, you will then have a further 30 mins to get to sj and another 30 mins to get to xc. Please bring a £10 deposit for your number bib and some good weather if you can!! The course is open for walking from 2pm on Friday. See you all soon!! 😊

Thank you to everyone who came to our penultimate ode yesterday. As always it was lovely to see old faces and new. Thank you all for your support with our 'Macmillan coffee morning'. Louise low was just fabulous spending her Saturday baking and all the cakes were snapped up raising a corking £90.30 so thank you so much for your generosity. Our last ode for 2017 is Oct 7th. We hope to see you all then!! X

Hi competitors. Just a quick note to inform you of food facilities for tomorrow. Our chef is going on honeymoon!!!!! So we have no hot food tomorrow. We do however have the usual complimentary tea and coffee and we have a lovely lady who is busy baking a huge assortment of delicious cakes and all proceeds will be donated to Macmillan. The boys had another fabulous day at the wonderful #lyforddressage yesterday and after the usual warm up test to get the goofies out the boys pulled out all the stops for a first and second in the second test! Can't be prouder of the racehorses! With the Eventing season underway and the lyford dressage series about to begin again Roobear thought it was time mum dragged out the dressage saddle from under the mould and tried out a different colour to get prepared!
