Abingdon Rugby 7s
Description
Abingdon Rugby Clubs annual 7s competition is the Oldest Club 7s in England.
This year's event will be held on 12th August!! The original tournament was played back in 1956 when Oxford RFC won the Dr Cherry Cup. Now some 56 years later Abingdon continues to boast one of the oldest Club 7’s in England. The tournament history boasts several participants that have gone on to play at the highest level of our game. The 7’s have been a recognised opening fixture of the new rugby season in South Oxfordshire for many years.

OK GUYS... I WAS GOING TO POST THE MATCH SCHEDULE YESTERDAY BUT HAD TO DELAY FOR VARIOUS REASONS.... BASICALLY WE WILL HAVE TO RUN ON 3 PITCHES DUE TO LACK OF REFS (they are going to be run ragged otherwise). WHAT THIS MEANS DIFFERENT TO OTHER YEARS IS THAT THERE WILL NOT BE ANY EMPTY GAPS BETWEEN FIXTURES AND GROUPS WILL NOT BE STAYING ON ONE PITCH!!!! TO FIND OUT YOUR FIXTURES YOU WILL NEED TO REGISTER AS SOON AS YOU ARRIVE AND WHEN WE HAVE FINAL NUMBERS I WILL PRINT OUT A FIXTURE LIST FOR EVERYONE! SIMON NORTH P.S. SEE ALL THE CAPTAINS AT 10AM (hopefully) AT REGISTRATION
