facebook.comA great recording of Czardas beautifully played by our Permanent Staff Instructor WO2 Bob Ghigi from our recent concert in Bicester. Czardas is a composition by Italian composer Vittorio Monti; a rhapsodical concert piece written in 1904. It is a well-known folkloric piece based on a Hungarian csárdás, originally composed for violin, mandolin or piano. With great thanks for the recording to Mr M Hankins.
Beautiful studio shot of three of our buglers at the last reunion of the Rifle Brigade and Royal Green Jackets in Felixstowe last Saturday night. Photo courtesy of Mr A Bishop, with thanks.

The Band & Bugles were pleased to perform a concert for the Mayor of Bicester on Saturday night. To a packed St Edburgs church we performed a Last Night of the Proms-style finale complete with flags! The concert showcased solos from talented musicians within the band. For your diaries, the Band & Bugles will be back in Bicester in the summer, performing at Garth Park on Saturday July 7th for the Bicester World War 1 Centenary concert, raising money for SSAFA and Soldiers of Oxfordshire.
The Director of Music was proud to present 3 members of the Band & Bugles with bars to their Long Service Good Conduct medals at the Lord Mayors Charity Concert in Bicester last night. Congratulations all! Photographs by M Hankins
Don't forget to come along to our concert tomorrow night. Tickets available on the door.
