facebook.comThis set of 4 dining chairs needed rewebbing, new springs and new hair. Everything had fallen through the interior canvas and there was a lot of brown parcel tape (i kid you not!) to hold it together, but obviously not very well! 😨 Many hours later, it was recovered in a tartan fabric supplied by the customer.
This is a nice little in-betweeny job for my good friend Kay! She picked the spots from my Abraham Moon sample book. I glued and clamped the joints, rewebbed and padded up the seat pad before recovering. Cats and Books, hope you like your new look bench! 📚 🐱 📚
Does my bum look big in this? Happy Halloween! 🎃👻🎃
And then this fabric from Timorous Beasties arrived in the workshop ... It was my first time working with such an exquisite fabric and what a perfect match for this chaise! The owner got it directly from Timorous Beasties (a very exciting company from Glasgow) and I'll stop here so you can have a close look at this fabric and at the Timorous Beasties website (link in comment).
Is it a big spider or a small chair? 😀😀😀
This couple brought this pair of wingbacks all the way from Hampshire. Eek, my reputation really has no borders! Only joking, they belong to my aunt and uncle (who do live in Hampshire!). It took 10 metres of 100% wool Arncliffe Natural from Moon fabric, new seat foam and lots of line matching! 😵😵😵
Look at this awesome barber chair! Proper vintage, I love it!!! This is actually one of a pair. They needed new foam and were then recovered in black vinyl. They have now been reunited with the lovely Denise at The Men's Emporium (see comment for website). To sit on one of those fab chairs and enjoy The Ultimate Barber Experience, you will have to wait however: Denise' s new venue at Banks of Dee fitness Sports Club doesn't open til the end of October. ✂ ✂ ✂
Mrs G had 2 VERY large beige settees. The first one was recovered in Moon 100% wool fabric. The second one needed a replacement foam in the seat, which was a sizeable cushion, at about 7 foot long (you can stretch right out!). The customer sourced her own fabric, called Kintore from Romo. Even if pink may not be your colour, this is an amazing fabric: nice to work with, beautiful natural linen look with a subtle sheen running through it. The pictures have been kindly sent in by Mrs G, because I didn't have enough room in the workshop to stand back and get a proper shot of them! 📷 📷 📷!
The owner of this bar in the shire is refurbishing his venue. This is my contribution to the refit: a few seats and stools and 3 bar seating (one of them is in the top picture). Recovered in Moon 100% wool fabric. Let's hope nobody spills anything...! 🍷 🍷 🍷
The cane work had started to break up in this set of dining chairs. The frames were still very good so I webbed the seat and put foam on instead, then recovered in Ross Montana brush strokes fabric. Mrs F also requested FABRIGUARD which allows any spillages to run off without staining. See my little experience on the video below : one side of the fabric has been ' fabriguarded ', the other hasn't. Magic stuff! Not the best pictures of the chairs, my red carpet isn't showing them off 😕!
A before and after photo montage sent by Mrs M. of her new butterfly themed lounge! I have put another picture (my own!) of the wing back chair in the comment for anyone who wants to see it closer!
Mrs N had these top quality chairs and wanted to revamp them so that they could fit in with her decor. She supplied her own fabric and abracadabra, here they are in my front garden! 😊
