Assumption university has 2 libraries at Huamark Campus; The St. Gabriel's Library, and at Suvarnabhumi Campus; The Cathedral of Learning Library. The vision of the library is to serve as the university’s main information center towards supporting teaching and learning, research, social services and preserving and promoting Thai Arts and Culture. As well as the other parts of University that they keep on developing and improving, the AU Library have the highest number of Emerald articles downloaded in Thailand, the 6th in Asia and the 15th ranking worldwide in 2014. The “Highest Usage Award” can prove continually hard working of the staffs. ABAC combats Thailand’s Recorded Drought Situated in the middle of Huamark campus, the shady beautiful pond surrounded with green plants and trees helped the Assumption University save 700,000 liters of water a month! The pond is not only refreshing scenery and a source of fresh air for people living in a big city like Bangkok; it also significantly saves water consumption at ABAC—at 700,000 liters a month! How? Instead of filling in tap water, the university recycles its water consumption in the university buildings by water treatment before emission into the pond. The fountain, while beautifies the pond, also helps generate more Oxygen into the water. In addition, instead of using a hose of tap water to water the plants around the pond, ABAC uses drip-watering system utilized water from the pond. The dripping system saves 100,000 liters a month in plant watering. With admirable water saving efforts, ABAC was awarded “an organization with remarkable water saving efforts of the year 2015” from Bangkok Metropolitan Waterworks Authority. As the Festival de Cannes 2016 is now a hot topic that you can see many posts about your favorite celebrates on timelines. But you may never know that we have a student who used to walk on the red carpet of Cannes. He is Natthapol Suwansura, or Nat, a BBA 1st year AU-full-scholarship student majoring in Business Economics at Assumption University. As a young director, he had a chance to present his short film entitled “The Deepest” in the 68th Festival de Cannes in Paris. The undergraduate team from marketing major at AU won the 1st runner up prize and the best digital award at L'Oreal Brandstorm 2016 national finals on May 10, 2016. Brandstorm is L'Oréal's unique business competition for students to unleash their creativity and apply ground-breaking ideas to one of L'Oréal's international brands and distribution channels since 1992. In this Au’s “Elysian” winning team consists of 1. Ms. Amika Sathitsethi 2. Ms. Jinnipa Chuleeprasert 3. Ms. Kamonwan Yongsiri, and advisor, A.Yunmei Wang of Department of Marketing Martin De Tours School of Management and Economics. Congratulations to the team !

Congrats to School of Music, Assumption University that Mr. Planuparp Preechom, Music School student won 3rd Prize of Concerto Competition in Thailand Steinway & Sons Piano Competition 2016. This prestigious competition is part of the long-standing biennial Steinway Hamburg Festival, organised in Germany. Various countries will be running national level competitions to determine representatives for the Regional Final of the Youth Piano Competition and subsequently the Hamburg Festival in Germany. Assumption University and his teacher are so proud of his achievement at an international level.

Dr. Bancha Saenghiran and Dr. Kitti Phothikitti on behalf of the University attended the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony between Assumption University of Thailand and Birmingham City University on May 2, 2016 for developing Bachelor and Master’s Degree co-programme, and continually signed MOU with University of Somalia on May 4, 2016 for establishing academic cooperation. ภราดา ดร.บัญชา แสงหิรัญ และ ดร.กิตติ โพธิกิตติ ได้เป็นตัวแทนมหาลัยในการเข้าร่วมพิธีลงนามสัญญาบันทึกข้อตกลงความร่วมมือ MOU ระหว่างมหาวิทยาลัยอัสสัมชัญ และ Birmingham City University เมื่อวันที่ 2 พฤษภาคม 2559 ที่ผ่านมา ในการพัฒนาหลักสูตรร่วมกันของระดับปริญญาตรี และปริญญาโท ต่อด้วยการลงนามสัญญาบันทึกข้อตกลงความร่วมมือกับ University of Somalia เมื่อวันที่ 4 พฤษภาคม 2559 เพื่อสร้างความร่วมมือทางการศึกษาร่วมกัน
