The year 2017 for the children home in numbers: - 41 children found refuge in "Sails of Hope" - The number of children at our home was increased from 26 to 32! - 15 new children were taken in - 8 children were able to return to their restored families - 1 child found a foster family after the death of his mom. Behind every number are stories of heartache and need, but most of all, stories of God's love, faithfulness and intervention. And thanks to your faithful support more and more of these stories receive a happy ending.

Relief projects in the war zone - the year 2017 in numbers - 800 food packages "Stop Hunger" for starving people acquired - 20 big families (with a total of 70 children!) monthly supported with food products - 134 packages of insulin distributed to children with diabetis - 2000 more medicines handed out to sick and suffering people - 25 tons of relief goods distributed to over a 1000 families in need in 10 cities in Eastern Ukraine - 600 families in 14 cities provided with seeds for a vegetable garden. - 90 large families given chicks, geese, ducks or piglets for livestock farming - 3 Christian summer camps for 90 children behind the demarcation line organized - 75 children in the warzone provided with school supplies - 45 destitute families supplied with coal or firewood for the winter - 5 Christmas events organized in the war zone and over 300 children presented with a Christmas gift - 1000 thanks to our wonderful donors and all glory and praise to our faithful God, who makes it all possible!

(Isaiah 9:6) The children home “Sails of Hope” wishes you a very blessed Christmas. Thanks to your generous support this year lives have been changed and many people have found new hope in God. May His love and hope fill your hearts as well during this holiday season!

An essential part of our ministry is the cooperation with and support of the parents of the children living at "Sails of Hope". It is our heart's desire for the circumstances in these families to change for the better, so the children will be able to return home. Today at "Sails of Hope" we organized a special Christmas Event for the parents. We listened to the Christmas story, remembered God's gift of love, sang and prayed together. The parents cherished the encouraging words and the fellowship as well as the tea and treats.

Update to our project "Coal for winter" "I don't know, what to do", says Tatiana, single mother of three children, with tears in her eyes. "It is only 50 degrees °F in our home. The children wear their coats, scarves and caps even to sleep, but they still have a cold. They are all dirty, because I don't know how they can wash up without getting pneumonia. And winter hasn't even really started yet!" This story is no isolated case. Hundreds of families in the warzone of Eastern Ukraine have no means to heat their homes. Thanks to our donors we were able to provide 45 destitute families with coal for the winter. The relief and gratefulness of these families knows no bounds. We are still looking for finances for this project. For 230 $ you could provide a family with the coal they so desperately need.

Praise the LORD, my soul, and forget not all the good things He does or me (Psalm 103:2) It's been three years since we were able to restore and reopen our children home after the destruction of the war. We never want to forget this miracle or take for granted the second chance God has given us. Thanks to all our sponsors for their incredible support.
