Foerderverein Humanitas
Description
The Swiss Foerderverein Humanitas is a nonprofit organisation that engages for education and health of populations in developing countries e.g. The Gambia. The Foerderverein Humanitas is being carried by its 150+ members and lead by six board members. As a nonprofit organisation we are open to everybody who is interested in humanitarian work as an individual member or as a group (class at school, society, company, etc.).
Besides several fund raising activities and events, our projects are funded through yearly membership fees and generous donations from private persons, public bodies and charitable institutions.
We are an association with minimal administration and overhead costs. The members of the board guarantee that the available resources are targeted for the projects efficiently. All costs arising from the work for the Foerderverein Humanitas (e.g. travel expenses) are being covered personally by the individual board member.
