TEDXCarouge Friday December 1st 17:00-22:00 Tickets still available Carouge is the most precious jewel of the canton of Geneva, and with TEDxCarouge, the first event of its kind, we want to show the many facets of Carouge, its multifaceted energy, its disposition for innovative thinking and its “bon vivre”. This year we will investigate the amazing power of being: PROUDLY HUMAN. In recent years, more and more scientists, philosophers, artists, and entrepreneurs have come to question the effects of emerging technologies on our humanity. With this exponential technological growth, humans could lose their most important characteristics and with TEDxCarouge we want to explore and question "humanness." THE FUTURE OF THE CHINESE ECONOMY Wednesday, October 11, 2017 14h00 - 18h00 While China's emergence in recent decades has been impressive, China’s growth has regularly decelerated since 2010, and the country faces several challenges – inequalities, pollution, demography, corporate debts, internal or external affairs, might impede the future. However, China is more and more on the world's R&D map, with Chinese outward foreign direct investment (FDI) exploding since 2004 -- and the new Silk Road initiative, "One Belt, One Road" (OBOR), appears to be a new engine of growth. Speakers and panelists will address issues of China's Transformation, Perspectives on the Next Decade, and three related sessions: Session 1: Technology Creation in China Session 2: The New Silk Road - One Belt, One Road (OBOR) Session 3: China Outbound Direct Investment Refreshments will be provided during networking breaks between the sessions. The event is free and open to the public. Registrations encouraged in advance.
