Cykelköket Solna is an open workshop where you can learn how to
maintain and repair your bike. We have all the tools you need and
we’ll teach you what you need to complete the job. Newbie or pro;
everyone is capable.
You can rent or borrow a cargo bike from us. We also offer service and
repairs for your bike. And - you can buy a ready-to-ride bike, spares
and accessories from us.
Why are we doing this? We love bikes and what a bike offers;
freedom, independence and good health. We’re greatly inspired by
“The Bike Kitchen” in Detroit and others like’em

Nu drar vi igång en kampanj för att utrusta så många barn som som möjligt med en cykel. Detta behöver vi hjälp med och vi tror att du kan bidra med dina kunskaper och dina pengar. Varför vi ber dig om ditt bidrag är för att vi tror på att göra denna insats tillsammans med vårt lokalsamhälle och inte för oss själva. ”Iden är att färdigställa de cyklar vi har på vår tomten och ta emot cyklar som du vill skänka för att skänka de vidare till barn och familjer som inte har möjlighet att köpa en cykel.” För att göra detta behöver vi ekonomiska resurser och hjälp att föreställa cyklar. De medel vi får in kommer vi att använda till att köpa in hjälmar, lås och reservdelar för att kunna färdigställa och skänka dessa cyklar ett fantastiskt skick med rätt tillbehör. Vi kommer att samlas på cykelköket vid följande datum och färdigställa cyklar för detta syfte. Lördag den 24e mars 10-16 Lördag den 7e april 10-16 Tisdag den 17e april 12-20 Vi du skänka en cykel kan du alltid komma förbi under våra öppettider. Now we are launching a campaign to equip as many children as possible with a bike. We need your help for that and we believe you can contribute your skills and money. We ask you for your contribution because we believe in doing this effort with our local community and not by ourselves. "The idea is to fix all the children bikes we have at the kitchen and distribute them to children and families that can't afford to buy a bike." The funds thats we receive will be used to buy helmets, locks and spare parts to be able to complete the bikes. We will gather at the bicycle kitchen at the following dates and complete bikes for this purpose and you are more than welcome to join! Under den här workshop kommer vi att gå igenom hur du håller din cykel frisk och i god form. Syftet med kursen är att lära sig de grundläggande teknikerna för att undvika skador och större reparationer i framtiden. Vi kommer att gå igenom: – Hur man byter slang – Vilka delar man ska hålla rena och hur man smörjer cykeln. – Genomgång av kedjan och kassettens status. _ Kedjespänningen – Hur man smörjer broms och växelvajrar. – Justering av bromsar och växlar. För att gå på workshopen krävs att man är medlem föreningen Cykelköket Solna Basic maintenance and basic service. During the session we will cover all basic maintenance needed to keep a bicycle healthy and running well. The purpose of teaching these techniques is to reduce the risk of major repairs further on down the road. In this session we will cover: -Inner tube repair -Checking and cleaning important function and places on the bicycle -Checking the ware on the chain and cassette -Tensioning chain – Lubricating gear and brake cable -Gear adjustment -Brake Adjustment To attend the workshop your need be a member in the ONG bike kitchen Solna.

Basic Replacements. During the session we will cover the basic replacements that will be necessary over the years of wear on certain parts of a bicycle. In this session we will cover: -Replacing chain -Replacing cassette -Replacing gear cable and wire -Replacing brake cable and wire -Replacement of brake pads To attend the workshop your need be a member in the ONG bike kitchen Solna.
