ARCAV - Arduino Controlled Aerial Vehicle
Designed as a highly maneuverable and unstable flying wing and will be manufactured by students at LTU.

WHAT
Design and manufacture a highly maneuverable and unstable flying wing, which will be controllable only with help of sensors and control theory combined with elevons.
WHY
Use our current knowledge and gain practical experience in the field of aerospace engineering. Since a flying wing is the most efficient and stealthy design of an airplane, it can be used for defense, surveillance or transport purposes in high risk areas.
GOALS
Develop stable and reliable control system for simple aircraft design.
HOW
To make it as light and strong as possible, it will be partly made of composites such as carbon fibre. The control system will be based on Arduino microprocessors and different sensors like accelerometer and gyroscope. Propulsion will consist of one 90mm electric ducted fan.
