Our beautiful dancers at their Performance Award Exams yesterday. Lots of really lovely results from this special group of enthusiastic and hardworking girls! In this exam, dancers (even the very youngest) must perform a series of exercises and a solo dance in front of an adjudicator and an audience - our girls performed with style and confidence-we were so proud of you all!

Love these ballerinas who despite working really hard in class today still managed to fit in loads of laughter and fun. As dance teachers, we watch some of the best friendships being built in ballet classes as these girls dance together week after week throughout their school years.

Yesterday was one of the highlights on our dance calender where some of our dancers who were highly placed in their recent ballet exams joined with other highly placed Kzn dancers to perform in the annual Cecchetti Gala Performance at the beautiful Durban Playhouse. Sincere thanks to Val and Larika for the truly beautiful costumes and again to Larika and Julie for your massive help and super company in the dressing rooms - you were a big part of making it such a happy, stress-free and exciting day 💛 And to our beautifully behaved, lovely dancers, as always we are so proud of you! Our two advanced ones deserve a special mention for their incredible hard work. We have been notified that they excelled in their advanced 1 ballet exam. In the closing weeks of their training, whilst writing matric trials these girls arranged ballet classes in any section of free time they had. Often their classes were gruelling two and three hour sessions but their enthusiasm and determination and eagerness to accomplish the difficult work were so rewarding! Often they got together for hours on their off days to work on their own, without teachers, showing the kind of commitment needed to get to grips with these demanding senior ballet exams. What a way to finish your year, Jess and Georgia. We are all so proud of you!
