At last! After waiting ages to get my drone to do a really cool intro for this video, I'm happy to finally share the highlights of Gareth and Jessica's special day which took place on 14 January 2017. Both the ceremony and reception took place at The C Club, an incredible venue located in the seaside village of Chintsa East. The guys kept themselves busy with a few games of hillbilly golf and tables tennis while the girls were in an even more relaxed and excited mood as they added the final touches at a beautiful house with panoramic sea views. The ceremony was was a spirit filled affair with awesome praise and worship, Holy Communion and a time of prayer ending off a very special service by Matt Francis. The photo shoot took place in the scenic gardens of The C Club, which provided many great locations for us to capture the fun bridal party, and head-over-heels in love newlyweds who made it very easy for us and were naturals in front of the camera. The beautifully decorated venue played host to great speeches, delicious food and a fun-filled night of dancing and fellowship. Thank you for choosing me to capture this amazing day, and may the Lord bless your marriage for all the years to come! *Watch it in HD* Bride & Groom: Jessica Durrheim & Gareth Durrheim Photographer: Estefania Romero⎪Wedding & Portrait Photographer Makeup Artist: Rosy Glow Makeup Dress: Evette's • Bridal Gowns • Evening Wear • Matric Dresses Venue: The C Club
Donovan+Michelle
Donovan and Michelle got married on 4 March 2017, with both the ceremony and reception taking place at the Emerald Vale Brewery. The weather played its part as this awesome couple sealed the deal in a beautiful outdoor setting before we explored the surroundings for the amazing photo session that followed. The lighting and scenery was perfect and we were able to get some stunning shots with the love and adoration shared for each other very evident. The brewery made a perfect venue as guests were able to enjoy the good weather, drink delicious craft beer and listen to live music courtesy of Calan Watts. The speeches were filled with emotion, and there weren't many dry eyes around at the end of them. A sparkler filled first dance marked the start of a party to remember as friends and family joined the newlyweds in celebrating this joyful occasion. Luke + Bridget
Luke and Bridget got married on 7 January 2017, with the ceremony taking place at Kleinemonde and the reception at the Royal St Andrews hotel in Port Alfred. The day began with the girls as they got ready in one of the beautiful suites at the hotel, and this very close bunch were in high spirits as they laughed and joked with one another over a few glasses of champagne. The smiles on the bridesmaids faces said it all as they saw their close friend transformed into a beautiful bride, and slowly the nerves began to set in as they helped with the finishing touches. As Bridget made her way down to the reception area she was greeted by an amazing scene with all the staff from the hotel joining in to send her on her way, with joyful song and dance. A very special touch! Luke and his dashing best men, waited patiently at the church, as family and friends made their way to their seats, Rev. Webb providing them with his unique sense of humour to lighten the mood. The time had come and as the bridesmaids and flower girls made their way down the aisle, Luke was finally able to lay his eyes on his soon to be wife. A special and at times humourous ceremony followed and Luke could barely contain his excitement at finally being able to kiss the new Mrs. Le Marquand. The incredible weather provided perfect conditions for the photo shoot that followed, and with this group of guys and girls it was bound to be entertaining. Champagne was sprayed, dance moves were shown off, there was a bit of amateur modelling and photography and lots of fun was had by all as we moved from the old railway station in Port Alfred, to the pier and finally to the hotel itself. The excellent reception venue was very tastefully and stylishly decorated, and the guests were already in high spirits by the time the bridal party made their way in, and were treated to a smooth dance move and dip by the bride and groom, before taking their seats. With the selection of speakers lined up, it was never going to be anything less than a roast of Luke, but included in these hilarious moments, were some loving and heartfelt words, especially from the groom himself, with few dry eyes left in the room. The party that followed was one for the ages, with everyone getting involved in sharing this perfect celebration. It was such a privilege to be a part of this incredible day. One filled with love, happiness, laughter and that showed the special bond this group of family and friends share. *Watch it in HD* Bride & Groom: Bridget Le Marquand & Luke Le Marquand Photographer: Estefania Romero⎪Wedding & Portrait Photographer Second Videographer: Ross John Meyer & Candace-Leigh Meyer and anyone that wanted a turn during the later hours of the reception. Cobus + Melissa
Cobus and Melissa got married on 17 December 2016, with both the ceremony and reception taking place at the Blue Barn. The girls got ready at the Blues Guest House in Bonza Bay, on what was a perfect summer's day. The vibe was festive as they applied the finishing touches, drank champagne and shared many laughs. The chapel at the Blue Barn provided the perfect setting on this warm day, as family and friends found their seats and eagerly awaited the arrival of the bride. After a special service, and some quick family photos, the reception was started earlier, as we waited for the sun to drop, before heading out into the beautiful surrounding around the Blue Barn, where the newlyweds shared laughs and kisses and gave us some great moments to capture. Once the formalities were done, it was clear that the guests had come for a good party and the dance floor filled up as everyone joined in on the festivities and celebrated this special occasion. Andrew + Trudi
Andrew and Trudi got married on 16 December 2016, with the ceremony taking place at the Garden Centre at the ELGC and the reception at the Albatross Room. We were treated to beautiful, warm weather on the day, and the gents were in high spirits as they prepared for the big day at the Clouds End B&B. Champagne flowed and cigars were smoked as laughed and joked with each other, in anticipation of their friend's big day. Trudi got ready at her family home in Vincent Heights, surrounded by her family and close friends. The house was a hive of activity and the excitement was palpable as this beautiful bride looked forward to walking down the aisle to the man of her dreams. The setting under the trees for the ceremony was the perfect location on this sunny day, as bride and groom shared very personal and special vows before sealing the deal with their first kiss as husband and wife. Working alongside Estefania Romero is always a pleasure and the photo shoot that followed was a typical, fun-filled affair filled with creativity and beautiful shots of the bridal party. We then proceeded to Nahoon Point where the fearless couple made their way onto the cliffs above Mermaid's Pool for some incredibly dramatic shots as the sun began to set. The reception venue had been tastefully decorated and the excited guests welcomed Mr. and Mrs. Ellis with cheers and loud applause. Both MCs provided some excellent entertainment in between excellent speeches, none more so than Andrew himself, whose speech ranks as being one of the best I've heard and was a testament to the humble, caring and selfless man he is. This wedding was truly a joyous occasion, and it was a privilege for me to capture this special day for this awesome couple. If Groomsmen Were Bridesmaids
Funny stuff.
Robert + Marie
Robert and Marie got married on 3 December 2016, with the ceremony taking place at the Old Apostolic Church in Abbotsford and the reception at Inkwenkwezi Private Game Reserve. After an intimate and traditional ceremony, we made our way to the beautiful setting at Inkwenkwezi where the warm, sunny weather and abundant wildlife set the scene for a fun photo session. As Robert and Marie became more comfortable in front of the camera their love for one another began to show even more and many laughs were shared. After a "narrow" escape from two rhinos, the newlyweds entered the venue to the sound of applause and cheers from their excited guests. The speeches that followed resulted in laughter and the occasional tear as the speakers imparted both love and wisdom. This set the tone for a wonderful evening for all in attendance. Shaun + Astrid
Shaun and Astrid got married on 19 November 2016 at the Clippety Clop farm just off the East Coast Resorts Road. Having worked together at numerous weddings before, the pressure was on to capture her big day perfectly. How lucky I was that all the variables combined to make for an incredible day and wedding celebration! The girls got ready at the beautiful Chelsea House in Beacon Bay, where we all had fun and did our first mannequin challenge for the day. The tears that Astrid promised didn’t materialize, or perhaps I missed them, but she did save some for later. I met up with the guys briefly, before shooting to Clippety Clop farm, where the outdoor ceremony was to take place, under the trees and right next to the river. This was a perfect location for these two love-birds to seal the deal and become Mr. and Mrs, and it was a moving experience not only for bride and groom and those in attendance, but also for me watching both a friend and colleague marry the man of her dreams. The photo session was lots of fun, as was the rest of the time spent with the dynamic duo that make up Van Bode Photography. The highlight of the session was certainly our time spent on the cliffs overlooking the venue and river below. The dramatic sky and amazing lighting made for some beautiful shots! The outdoor reception was decorated perfectly in tune with their tastes. Shaun deviated slightly from the norm when it comes to the groom’s speech, and presented a lovingly assembled slideshow, set to the awesome song that provides the soundtrack and inspiration for this video. It was an incredibly fun and special day, and I hope this video does justice to what an amazing, love-filled celebration it was! Jason + Caryn
Jason and Caryn got married on 12 November 2016 at the Cypress Dale Country Venue. The guys were lots of fun while getting ready, while the girls were relaxed and bubbly as they got ready at the amazing Pug & Putter Guest House. As usual, the outdoor gazebo at Cypress Dale provided a beautiful setting for their ceremony, and the surroundings made a perfect location for the photo shoot that followed, with Jason and Caryn at ease in front of the camera, providing us with natural, fun and love filled poses. The reception that followed was highlighted by an incredible speech by Jason, which paid tribute to the special people that had sadly passed on, as well as to his wife, who shed many a tear along with most in the room, as the love he has for her was put into words. This fun-loving, down-to-earth and caring couple were an absolute pleasure to work with and their awesome personalities were evident in the warmth and love that filled their special day! *Watch in HD* Bride & Groom: Caryn Thoresen & Jason Thoresen Photographer: Cay Rohlandt Photography Makeup Artist: Just B - Make up by Bronwyn Rielly Wedding dress: Evette's • Bridal Gowns • Evening Wear • Matric Dresses Bridesmaids Dresses: CAN couture Florist: Sarah May
Ralton + Monique
Ralton and Monique got married on 22 October 2016 with the ceremony taking place at the NG Kerk in Gonubie and the reception at Umnenga Lodge. After a short, but meaningful ceremony, we made the most of the beautiful weather and used some of my favourite locations for the photo shoot that followed. The first stop was Areena Resort, where the newlyweds and their bridal party were able to relax and provided us with some wonderful candid moments as well as heartfelt and romantic ones as we captured their one of a kind love. As the sun began to set, we made the most of the amazing light at Glen Eden beach before moving to the reception venue. The venue had been tastefully decorated and the atmosphere was buzzing as friends and family awaited the newlyweds. All the speakers gave great speeches but none more so than Ralton whose emotional words caused many a tear in the room. It was such a privilege to capture the big day for these awesome fun-loving couple and I wish you all the happiness in the world as you start your married lives together! *Watch it in HD* Bride & Groom: Monique Freitag & Ralton Freitag Photographer: Estefania Romero⎪Wedding & Portrait Photographer Makeup Artisit: Caroline Fowler _ Makeup Artist Venue: Umnenga Lodge
Darryn + Christine
Darryn and Christine got married on 15 October at the Gulu Private Resort. Both the ceremony and reception took place at this beautiful venue, and the bride and groom also got ready in the rooms at the resort. The guys were relaxed, as they joked and drank some beers while the bride and her bridal party were adding the finishing touches. An emotional Darryn watched his beautiful bride walk down the aisle before a humorous and profound ceremony which ended in the two finally saying I do and starting their married lives. The amazing scenery provided a perfect backdrop for the photo shoot that followed, where a few cows decided to get in on the action. The reception that followed took place in the tastefully decorated reception room, with vintage decor that set the scene perfectly. Once the formalities were over, the dance floor opened with incredible music from the DJ and the party that followed was one to remember! *Watch it in HD* Bride & Groom: Christine Oliver & Darryn Oliver Photographers: D.photography & Weclick.photography Second videographer: Ross John Meyer Makeup Artist: Kelly May_Makeup Artist Venue: Gulu Private Resort
