The remaining group went on a bus trip down to the beautiful province of Melaka, where they enjoyed a river cruise and a visit to an authentic living museum, the Villa Sentosa (which means peace, prosperity and harmony). The villa was built in 1925 and still occupied by the 9th generation of the same family. Our host, Hadji Ebrahim and his sister, Hadji Fatima were keen to show off their home, filled with original furniture and rich artifacts. Furniture and crockery that we could relate to in our grandparents home. It was like reliving our past of district 6 etc. They were enthusiastic to share their very interesting history and culture.
