Adelaide Gymnasium
Description
Motto: Orando Labordando Perficimus (We get things right by prayer and effort), an adaptation of the Benedictine motto. Three schools amalgamated in 1978 to form Adelaide Gymnasium whose pupils are nicknamed Kwaggas - the Adelaide Hoërskool, Hoër Huishoudskool (for girls only) and the Piet Retief Hoër Tegniese Skool (boys only). The school was
then called Hoërskool Piet Retief. In 1993 the name was changed to Adelaide Gymnasium, which was the original choice of name for the school.

Today the Clashes of the Kwaggas took place at Adelaide Gymnasium. On the netball court Adelaide Gymnasium netball team made history by winning Cradock High School Netball team 28 - 17. KWAGGAS TO LEAD FNB WSU VARSITY SHIELD SIDE Mihlali Qoma (right) and Luzuko Mafu (left) will be captain and vice captain of the side respectively. They will lead FNB WSU All Blacks team in tomorrow's clash against bitter rivals FNB UFH Blues. They both played for the 1st Rugby Team in 2011 under coach Fred Every . The match will take place at Davidson Stadium at the University of Fort Hare in Alice at 7pm and will also be televised on SS1. All the best!
