Bright Beginners
Description
Bright Beginners to międzynarodowe, anglojęzyczne przedszkole z jedzeniem ekologicznym.
Zatrudniamy native speakers z UK i USA.

facebook.comFreestyle football We were extremely privileged to have our football class with an added surprise, which we certainly weren’t expecting. We had great fun witnessing a freestyle football show. It was incredible to see it in our own garden as we had only witnessed this kind of skill on talent shows. It was clear that Paweł Skóra has put in hours and hours of practice to perfect his skills, and we all looked on in disbelief and admiration as he clinically nailed each of his tricks. As his confidence grew, he moved on from more basic tricks to far more complex movements. What particularly impressed us was his ability to manoeuvre a football in time with the music. It was almost as if he had a story to tell, which was expressed through his wondrous skill. We particularly loved the fact that he was willing to get us all involved in the end, children and teachers included. He skilfully balanced a football on a finger of our choosing after initially giving it his own ‘spin power’. We enjoyed, clapping, chanting, and cheering on our friends as they attempted a skill which they didn’t know was possible! His skills with a football just go to show that if you combine hard work and effort with commitment and dedication, you can fulfil any complex childhood dream.

Today we were delighted to invite Amanda Anthony from Malumika to our preschool. She presented us with some interesting facts on porcelain and paint, and then we set to work on some wonderful drawings, designs and colours on some porcelain of our choosing; a mug or plate. We were all really pleased with the results of all the children’s hard work and they are looking forward to taking them home on Friday after they have been fired up in the kiln. Amanda is very passionate about her work, and after today, we are sure the children are more passionate about their own artistic qualities. It also allows the children to try out new designs and experiment with paint, and even develop their own motor skills.

The children have had a lot of great fun and excitement. Summer camp is the perfect opportunity to make new friends, and take part in some wonderful activities and workshops. So far, we have had the exciting experience of riding and feeding a pony in our very own garden! We love being in a fun, natural environment, being outside, close to nature, playing lots of games, and ensuring that every activity is related to the wonderful topics that we put on for the children.

POLSKA GOLA!!!!!! On Thursday, the children excitedly anticipated Poland’s second game of the euros 2016. We helped excite them by painting their faces with the white and red of the polish flag, followed by allowing them to hold inflatable banners and flags. We wanted to give them the opportunity to feel like they were supporters at the game, and to allow them to feel the spirit of the game and their pride in their home nation. We hope that the pictures we have posted will give you an insight into their feelings towards the game. One child predicted a 2-0 victory for Poland against Germany, and the other 12-0. We certainly hope the latter is correct!!! COME ON POLAND! POLSKA POLSKA!!

Botanical Garden On Monday we excitedly set off for a school trip to the Botanical Garden. Having studied, nurtured and watered our own plants at school, we were interested to see a larger variety of plant life and flowers in one of the largest gardens in Wroclaw. We enjoyed the various colours, features, and smells of the different flowers that we could see in the garden, and regularly stopped for some lovely opportunities to take a photo. The wonderful plant life scenery was assisted by wondrous water fountains and mini waterfalls. It really isn’t surprising that so many people from all around the world, come to Wroclaw to take in the beauty of the garden. Whether on your own, or your family, the garden is such a beautiful and peaceful setting, one that is admired by many, many who will return to witness its flourishing delights.

This week our ever popular activity of inviting the team with the horse, happened on Wednesday. The children took it in turns to ride and feed the horse, while also having their picture taken. This also goes to show how seriously we take the physical experiences of the children, and this will lead on to our farm topic for the coming week, and if nothing else, we are pretty sure they will remember what a horse is! As ever, we continue to introduce children to an environment where they are exposed to nature. They enjoy teaching, feeling, listening and tasting various items related to each topic. It is extremely important for children to use as many of their senses as they can so that they have a more unique experience and can remember the various items or vocabulary that we covered. Being close to nature or real life wildlife allows the children to observe and be excited about the prospect of understanding their behaviour, how they react towards other animals, and how they survive in their natural habitats. Flashcards can be a useful aid to introduce vocabulary, but they are more likely to remember what they learnt through physical interaction. We can also impact their values by ensuring that they respect their natural environment. It is obviously extremely important that children are kind and well mannered towards their peers and teachers, but they should also impact the environment and wildlife around them too, which is why we chose topics such as recycling. People wonder why we introduce such topics at such an early age. But by introducing children to little by little, stage by stage, they will remember and have a very good grasp of ideas and knowledge to assist them in the future.

Spring!!! The past couple of weeks have drawn our attention to spring activities. We continue to be proud of our abilities to teach and then allow the children to observe by doing, through their own hands on experiences. Before the Easter break, we were observing the differences between winter and spring and teaching what we should be looking for as the first signs of spring. We observed and analysed that we would witness new forms of life, whether it be new born chicks or lambs, or the flouring of colourful crocuses and snowdrops. The children planted some of their own seeds, which have shown rapid growth, and we know they were really pleased to take them home to show to you! We have now moved on to teaching them how a plant grows, what it requires for growth, and the specific gardening tools that we require. Over the next couple of weeks we will be watching them intently hoping that we see more beautiful blooming flowers! So why do we teach them like this? Well, lots of schools teach mainly by sitting them down and showing them videos, or by simply jotting down some words. We prefer to provide them with a more memorable, hands on experience, where they remember each little thing they did, because they played an active part, or they used each of their senses to discover and recognise the meaning of an item of vocabulary introduced to them.

This week was another fantastic time for our kids. On Tuesday we visited the puppet theatre where our little learners had the opportunity to see a short production with real live actors! Additionally our younger group enjoyed seeing a shadow puppet show, watched and took part in a hand puppet performance and finally were able to make their own sock puppets. Everyone seemed to have a great time and could learn hands-on, which we believe is the most effective (and enjoyable) way.
