Det var masse gøy i dag til å bli med den Norges Strandnaryddning på Sommarøy, med en stor hjelpe av Brensholmen-Sommarøy Utviklingsslag, RS (takk for båter), Sommarøy Arctic Hotellet (takk for møtestedet og mat), #Hurtigruten , og #69NordSommarøyOutdoorCenter teamene ! En veldig nyttig innsats fra alle sammen. It was a great Beach Clean-Up National Day today in Sommarøy, a lot of plastics and garbage have been removed from our sand beaches thanks to the help from the Development Committee of Brensholmen-Sommarøy, the Sea Rescue Association which provided motorboats to reach other islands in the archipelago, #Hurtigruten who came with their families and kids from Tromsø and the Sommarøy Arctic Hotel which offered a place to listen to Helga Bårdsdatter Kristiansen’s presentation and a good BBQ after the operations. Helga is a marine biologist graduate from UNIS in Svalbard ; in addition to being an expedition team member onboard MS Fram, she is in charge of improving Hurtigruten’s environment-friendly practice. And last but not least, the team from #69NordSommarøyOutdoorCenter was there to help

Today is the "NORDIC BEACH CLEAN UP DAY". the team 69Nord is participating. the base will open tomorrow, Sunday for the summer season :-)
