I work within Fresh Fitness Tiller with Fresh Fitness members and also offer Personal Training and Group Training to the general public.  

I am a qualified Personal Trainer (Fitness Industry Training Australia) and Level 3 High Performance Australian Rules Football Coach.  I have coached Australian Rules Football Clubs & Teams for 17 years prior to moving to Norway and have been strength and cross training for almost 25 years. I have been developing and implementing individual and team high performance programs to meet the demands of Australian Rules Football for many years and this combined with my own fitness journey has provided me with the experience and knowledge to develop strength and conditioning programs that get results.

Australian Football is a game that demands a high level of fitness on all levels.  It is a full contact game that requires STRENGTH & POWER for repeat maximal efforts in sprinting, tackling and jumping along with a HIGH CARDIOVASCULAR AND MUSCULAR ENDURANCE level to compete for almost 2 hours.  

I have trained 100's of AFL players and over 17 years have developed my own system of training that I call HISACT (High Intensity Strength And Conditioning) It is a blend of traditional resistance and conditioning training methodologies and principals that I have combined to form what I believe is a complete fitness solution that not only delivers results but importantly provides a method of training and healthy eating philosophy that will ensure your fitness gains are permanent.


The great thing about HISACT is that it can be combined and adapted to suit all fitness goals and for all levels of fitness.

An Ounce of Injury Prevention Is Worth a Kilogram of Cure

A good read and some good advice! If you are lazy and don't like reading here is a summary: Cycle your training loads and get enough sleep and rest days to make sure your body recovers (More gains and less injuries) Good nutrition is essential! (Get enough protein, vitamins and minerals). Listen to your body, a week of rest and rehab when something feels a bit tight or sore will probably save you 3-6 weeks of injury rehab if you just train on! (Speaking from experience.....many, many times) Make sure you have a sound technique and focus on proportional strength, flexibility and mobility. (The body needs to function as a whole...and just having big pecs and biceps doesn't quite qualify) Basic compound movements should be the cornerstone of your program and you should include mobility / functional movement exercises. (If you haven't tried kettle bell training you are missing out on some great benefits) Remember (guys mainly) that heavy isn't always better and missing one or two sessions if you are unwell or something feels a bit tight or sore won't effect your results!
