OTANA HEARING AND EDU-HEALTH SERVICES is an organization that deals with the prevention, identification, diagnosis, treatment and management of persons with disabilities: Hearing Impairment and Deafness, Speech and Communication Disorders, Autism, Mental In our quest to compliment government efforts in the subject area, we have commenced some form of voluntary ad hoc Audiological Services for the State in collaboration with some colleagues at the Braithwaite Memorial Specialist Hospital and at the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital. Similarly, we assured pertinent reputable world leading manufacturers of digital hearing instruments that this Administration is committed to everything that would alleviate sufferings and enhance the people's social and economic achievements in practical terms.
Consequently, Widex A/S, Nymoellej 6. 3540 Lynge, Denmark, has indicated commitments to explore working relationship with the Rivers State Government.
Widex's representative visited Port Harcourt on our invitation in order to establish our claims for magnitude of needs. In addition, Widex is open to receive representative of the government to visit Widex facility in Europe. This development has numerous mutual benefits for all stakeholders and should be supported within the framework of our state/national development plan/programmes.
