Imperial Homes Mortgage Bank was formerly GTHomes Imperial Homes Limited is a Primary Mortgage Institution duly licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria to undertake mortgage banking and related services.The Bank was incorporated in 1992 as Citizens Savings and Loans Limited. Its name was changed to New Patriot Building Society Limited in 1997.
It was then acquired in August 2007 by Guaranty Trust plc as a wholly owned subsidiary, consequent upon which the name was changed to Imperial Homes Limited to reflect its relationship with GTBank.
Guaranty Trust bank is a leading financial institution in Nigeria with a franchise in the West Africa sub-region, operating in Ghana, the Gambia, Sierra Leone and Liberia. Its insurance subsidiary – Guaranty Trust Assurance Plc which was acquired in 2003, within two years of operations assumed a leadership position in the Nigeria insurance industry.
