Youth Crime Prevention Initiative (YCPI) is a non-governmental organization (NGO) dedicated towards minimizing the crime rate in the society by involving young men and women in endeavours that will improve their means of livelihood as well as inculcate in them values that will make them become responsible and patriotic citizens.

To empower the vulnerable youth in the society with endeavors that will keep them off the street while instilling moral values in them.

AIMS & OBJECTIVES

• To continuously create awareness on crime prevention for the public while particularly focusing on the youth.

• To serve as an intervention unit that is decisive and acts promptly on information dissemination concerning crime prevention and control

• To protect the privacy and interest (s) of every member of the community

• To work hand-in-hand in close collaboration with law enforcement agencies in order to ensure that crime control and prevention functions are not compromised.

• Shall not be partisan or used as an organization/person to achieve a political aim as distinct from rendering a professional service.

• To establish a code of operating standard and ethics, which enhance the credibility of the profession and encourage its acceptability.

• To make such rules and regulations as may be necessary from time to time to facilitate its smooth operation.

• To advance the art and science of crime prevention initiative and other related activities by aiding research, education, information technology and development.

• To strive to maintain the highest level of management and administration of the head office and branches within and outside Nigeria.

• To encourage, assist, develop and or establish specialist/training institution(s) that will actualize the acquisition of the arts and science of youth crime prevention and control.

• To establish youth clubs to combat crimes (e.g. cultism, rioting, youth restiveness etc.) in institutions of learning and our communities.
