WOMEN IN AFRICA FOR AIDS INITIATIVE (WINAA) Women In Africa For Aids Initative(WINAA) is a non governmental organization fully incorporated in Nigeria (CAC/IT/NO.60700) with extensive contact and network base in Nigeria and Africa.

VISION
To give the African woman voice in her nation.Giving her full right as full born citizen of her nation not denying her of any.We seek to promote peace and unity amongst African women.To help them discover their gift/talent and maximize it.
Our vision is that by improving the status of women we will eliminate violence and wars against women and therefore achieve Africa’s transformation.As mothers,wives,sisters and care givers we are custodians of the gate to life.It is therefore saddening when we witness wanton destruction of lives and property in our continent. We believe that women can be agents of peace and conflict resolution. WINAA envisions an Africa in which women would take their rightful place as home and nation builders with equal opportunities and equal access in all spheres of existence.
OBJECTIVES
WINAA seeks to create an empowering platform and harnessing the synergies of alliance to advance the status of the African woman.The organization therefore has the following objectives:
•   To challenge African women to aspire to take up leadership positions in our respective countries.
•   To create awareness about the problems facing women and provide solutions to these problems.

•   To create a viable and sustainable platform for unity,solidarity,cohesion,dialogue and networking among members for self development
•   To improve access to legal, political, economic, educational, health and social services for the advancement of the status of women in Africa.
•   To promote respect for the fundamental human rights and freedoms of women
•   To acknowledge, honour and celebrate women across the continent who have distinguished themselves in their various fields of human endeavor.
•   To ensure that no African woman is intimidated or harassed in any where martially,politically etc.
•   To raise spritual,political,and economic leaders from various ethnic groups.
•   To promote love among women.

ACTIVITIES OF WINAA
•   Advocacy at the highest level to influence change and women’s status in local, national and global.
•   Promote education of girl child and women in Africa.
•   Initiating and encouraging mentoring programmes at all levels.
•   Support all actions that promote financial independence and empowerment for women.
•   Training programmes for women in business, politics, health and implementation of gender programmes for Africa.
