Retrolegends is an internationally operating company that buys and sells veteran, vintage, classic and sports cars.
Although Retrolegends was established by Henny Kennis in 1999, the company originated from a family business run by Janus Kennis, Henny’s father, who has been active in the automobile business since 1961. In the late 60s, Janus became more and more interested in “antique” and classic cars and, since the mid-70s, has specialized almost exclusively in buying and selling Old Timers. Kennis Old Timers from Bergeijk, the Netherlands, have therefore earned an international name for themselves. The company has grown into a reputable business with numerous international contacts and the Kennis family has become an expert in importing and exporting from around the entire world.
In the early 90s, all three of Janus’ sons began working at the company full-time. The growth of the business led to the opening of the Automuseum Bergeijk Netherlands in 1995, which was later changed to AutomusA.
After eleven and a half years, the Kennis brothers decided in 2006 to dissolve the AutomusA partnership and each go their own way. Since 1 October 2006, Henny Kennis has been running a totally independent company called Retrolegends, which buys, sells, imports and exports more exclusive cars. He does this both at his own expense and risk as well as on the basis of purchase and sale agreements (on a negotiation and mediation basis). Naturally you can continue to expect the same quality and reputation that has been built up over more than 45 years.
