Last week during #OE17, we ran a competition directly on our stand which asked visitors to use our Inspection techniques to ‘find the #Storkman’, allowing entrants to be in with a chance to win an Apple Watch. Today, at Stork’s Aberdeen office our Regional Vice President for UK, ME & A, Erik-Jan Bijvank, selected a winner at random. Congratulations to… Patricio Mellado-Pastenes from Hilti! Uit voorzorg is het grootste nog werkende stoomgemaal ter wereld, het Woudagemaal in het Friese Lemmer in werking gezet. Het Waterschap Friesland verwacht de komende week veel regen en wil daarom de waterstand in de provincie alvast verlagen. Het meer dan 100 jaar oude stoomgemaal (onderdeel van de Unesco werelderfgoedlijst) wordt nog steeds als back up voor de reguliere waterhuishoudingsinstallaties in werking gehouden. Stork heeft in 1955 de pompen en machines geïnstalleerd, en deze zijn nog steeds in een perfecte conditie. Bij hoge uitzondering is het gemaal nu "onder stoom" gebracht en pompen de 4 STORK stoom machines meer dan 6 miljoen kubieke liter water in het IJsselmeer en zorgen er mede voor dat Friesland droge voeten houdt... Successful first day of #OE17 on Stork's stand, 2C100. Today, our technical experts delivered two thought leadership presentations, both focusing on topical industry themes.
