We are currently helping Porta Mosana with the preparation and execution of a student project called ‘The School of the Future’. Student groups will work on three design challenges that together provide a broad view on how students see their future school: -Service Design – Design a (educational) service/activity that creates synergy between internal and external stakeholders. -Architectural Design – Design the program and shape of the future school. -Urban Design – Design the surrounding of the school and how it is connected to the urban context. For this project, we collaborate with N Architecten for their architectural and urban design competence. Dutch news post about the project from Porta Mosana here: http://www.portamosana.nl/havo-vwo-tto/actueel/nieuws/porta-nieuws-29-4

Assisted Living in Healthcare at SSF | MYSBE

Two EU projects met during an interactive workshop on Assisted Living in Healthcare organised by the Service Science Factory. The ITN Service Design for Innovation (SDIN) in which Martina Caic, Dominik Mahr and Gaby Odekerken take part exchanged experiences with the H2020 ALHTOUR project (Assisted Living Technologies for the Health Tourism Sector). FHML invited Gaby Odekerken to join the latter project as a member to bring in service design thinking. The Service Science Factory challenged participants to design the invisible by means of role plays, to develop a patient journey and to create service innovations to smooth the adoption of a social service robot. Participants were thrilled and even asked for staff exchange and summer school opportunities. Very inspiring for all stakeholders involved!
