Become an alumni mentor! Next year, the IRIO program will start the alumni-mentor program, a program to match current IRIO students with IRIO alumni. Via the alumni-mentor program, alumni can share their expertise and experience with the next generation. Through the platform Career ConNEXT you can make a personal profile of yourself, which includes information about your background, expertise and experience. As soon as you have filled in the registration form, your profile will be activated and students will be able to find you in the mentor database and contact you with their career related questions. You can either accept or deny their request for information. So, if you want to coach students, keep in touch with the university and gain new perspectives on your own career, please become an alumni mentor! This time, we would like introduce Thomas Hermans, winner of the award for Best Young Leader in Sustainability and currently working at KLM: Thomas Hermans has received the award for Best Young Leader in Sustainability in 2014. But, what do we need to fully transform to a circular economy? What challenges will we encounter in this transformation? And what can one do on an individual level? For Mitrany's symposium Thomas Hermans will further explain the concept and his own experiences with working on circular economy. Thomas is an experienced product developer, campaigner and organizer. He is personally involved in different initiatives, including a campaign from D66 against extinction of bees.
