What to expect: -Heavy lifting -Proper form explained -Fun events like tire-flipping -A guest appearance of Allround Crossfit -All in all a great time Next week the city of Groningen will be taken over by the thousands of new students chasing their dreams and starting the study of their choice. To introduce the new students to the city, the possibilities it offers and anything related to their interests there's a little something called the KEI-week. The summer schedule for the following weeks!

With both of our lifters having competed in the IPF University World Classic Cup in Minsk, Belarus, we can now proudly show off their accomplishments. Marlinde Gras and Sietse Bergsma finished in 3rd and 16th place respectively. The competition was tough and the weights were heavy, but now they can rest and bask in the afterglow of great results.

GOODLIFT | Live!

Two of our lifters, Marlinde Gras and Sietse Bergsma, are going international. They will battle the weights and their competitors during the IPF University World Classic Cup in Minsk, Belarus Watch Marlinde Gras and Sietse Bergsma lift some heavy ass weights and cheer them on as they give it their all. Northside Barbell at Allround Crossfit! After an hour of individual training and setting some big PR's, Pepijn Leppers had us do an intense Partner WOD. Multiple rounds of rowing, kettlebell swings, pushups and pullups made us sore for days! Thanks for the great day Pepijn!

Yesterday, the five strongest student associations battled eachother during the "Sterkste Vereniging van Nederland" competition at the GNSK event! Never before have we hosted a competition with this many people from different cities and it was a great succes! DSKV IJzersterk, NSKV Profectus, TSKV Spartacus and Wageningen Beasts traveled north to take home the trophy and title of strongest association of the Netherlands. Heavy ass weights were lifted and in the end it was a very close call, but we managed to win the title and keep the trophy in Groningen! 1st place: Northside Barbell 2nd place: IJzersterk 3rd place: Profectus 4th place: Wageningen Beasts 5th place: Spartacus The results will be posted in the future. Thanks to all the lifters and their support for participating, hopefully there will be more events like these in the future!

Today, we organized the annual beginners meet again and it was awesome! We've had 14 powerlifter who participated, and one was actually a weightlifter who wanted to know how it would be to compete as a powerlifter - and you did good Kristan Jongkees!!! Maybe we will see more of you in the future as a powerlifter? ;) Anyway, we have an overall winner, Omar, with a wilksscore of 381! Congratulations. We also want to thank everyone who helped to organize the meet, who helped before, during and after the meet! Thanks to all spotter and to our Jury Marlinde Gras, Kai Yu Ma and Ruben van Eek. Next week we will also have Northside lifters at the DRC Powerlifting Classic Cup 2016 in Tilburg. Busy times bring loads of PR's! Cheers.
