Today Flower Factor and Young Crowds​ launched the educational program for primary schools ‘Groen Doen in de Klas!’ (‘Act Green in the Classroom!’). Initiator Pim van den Akker​: “We've achieved a big ambition of mine: an educational program to enthuse kids for flowers and plants. With ‘Groen Doen in de Klas!’, primary school students in Holland can experience the beauty and learn about the importance of flowers and plants. They can get their hands dirty with soil and start exploring the creative part of our business. They will learn how to take care of flowers and plants, what cool jobs there are in our work field and what the emotional meaning of flowers and plants is, in order to establish a valuable connection to the natural world from an early age on.
