Interaction Design Arnhem
Description
Interaction Design Arnhem is a four year bachelor study at ArtEZ Institute of the Arts in Arnhem, the Netherlands. In our society, an increasing number of human activities are supported by computers and new media. From social media to large scale data analysis. Interaction Design looks at these interactive processes between humans and computers and the design of interactive applications. How do we reach an optimally designed interaction between humans and interface? This four year study programme in Arnhem provides students with comprehensive professional and career-oriented training in the field of information and interaction.
The relationship between design, technology and visual arts is the foundation of the educational programme. An interactive designer must be aware of this, plus be able to shape the many different forms of interaction between humans and computers. Students learn to design dynamic information for screen-based media. They design interactive applications, interactive spatial installations, audiovisual presentations, and develop new forms of interaction, such as sound-controlled interfaces.
Data visualisation, interpretation and the portrayal of complex databases are also part of the study programme. The assignments show students the interface between invention, research and implementation. Students are trained by teachers who are leaders in their fields and who occupy important positions in professional practice.
