The Art Department
Description
The Art Department is an initiative of Subbacultcha, an Amsterdam-based platform devoted to emerging music and art. The platform promotes artists by featuring them in their monthly publications, special magazines and exhibitions.
In addition, The Art Department is launching a brand new art residency program. Starting 1 April 2015, the program will involve six artists, each invited for a two-month residency in our project space on Da Costakade, Amsterdam.
For the length of the residency, the invited artists will initiate lectures, workshops and other events aiming to disseminate their artistic process and provide context for their ongoing work, while at the same time working towards the opening of an exhibition
