Historic Monoposto Racing
Description
At Historic Monoposto Racing, we take iconic formula cars and marques to a selection of Europe's most infamous and demanding race tracks. The foundation Dutch Historic Monoposto Racing (HMR) has been founded with the aim to keep formula cars (Monoposto is Italian for singleseater) from the 60’s and 70’s, racing.
The foundation organises races on the main Dutch, Belgian, German racingtracks.
Ayrton Senna, Emerson Fittipaldi, Niki Lauda, Arie Luijendijk, Jan Lammers and many others have taken this route.
All big stars in Formula 1 have, on there way to the top, driven in one or more of the classes that are raced under the HMR banner. After a successful karting-career the next step was very often Formula Vee, Formula Ford 1600 or Formula Ford 2000 (our A, B and C classes) on the way to the top. Many of these historically important cars have survived and are racing now, very successfully, in our HMR-championship. This way an important piece of racing history is kept very much alive.

The HMR races are not only a great pleasure for the drivers but also for the fans who come to visit us during the several events. Close racing offers a spectacle on a high level that is very suitable to promote products and companies that want to offer “something else” to there customers. Basically everything is possible, per event, per car or for a number of cars, sponsor deals can e tailor-made to suit the needs.
A day at the races
HMR can organise for you and your customers a “days at the races”. Your guests will enjoy from a very close distance, follow all the preparations for the race and of course, the race itself. A roaring start and the smell of burning rubber and racing-oil shall not easily be forgotten. The group is divided into 4 classes so there is always excitement all trough the field.

2017 Champion HMR Formula Ford 2000: Kees van der Wouden Jr.
Zeges voor Van der Wouden Jr, Snellen en Bikker tijdens Finaleraces Zandvoort Tekst: Mattijs Diepraam Foto's: Erik van der Schaaff De slotronden van de diverse Nederlandse historische kampioenschappen, al dan niet door de HARC georganiseerd, vinden in deze oktobermaand verspreid over alle locaties plaats. Op Dijon kwamen het NK HTGT, de MG Competitions en het YTCC in actie, op Zandvoort reden intussen Historic Monoposto Racing en het NK 82-90. Volgende week komt het NK GTTC aan de bak op Zolder. Kees van der Wouden Jr, Geert Snellen en Pieter Bikker waren de winnaars op een bij vlagen kletsnat Zandvoort. Bij de Historic Monoposto's was Kees van der Wouden Jr al kampioen, maar dat weerhield hem er niet van om het seizoen nog eens dubbel winnend af te sluiten. Met zijn Royale RP30 bleef hij Hans Meskes (Van Diemen RF78) in de eerste race maar liefst 34 seconden voor, om het in de tweede race bij een voorsprong van 12 seconden te houden – maar dan op Meskes' zoon Carly (Van Diemen RF81). Volop strijd bij de Finaleraces Foto's: Essay Produkties Op Circuit Zandvoort is dit weekend volop gestreden om belangrijke kampioenschapspunten tijdens de Finaleraces. Op beide dagen werden bezoekers getrakteerd op mooie en spannende wedstrijden met racetrucks, snelle toerwagens en boeiende klassiekers. Ook de Historic Monoposto Racing serie beleefde mooie races op de Zandvoortse duinenpiste. Kees van der Wouden jr, won met zijn Royale RP30 formulewagen de eerste wedstrijd, met voorsprong van ruim dertig seconden op Hans Meskes. De Britse rijder Anthony Raine pakte de derde podiumplaats. In de tweede wedstrijd ging Van der Wouden jr. eveneens met de winnaarsbokaal aan de haal.
