PART 2 Lands Day ~ Ancient Rome @ Kilcully Scout Centre Cubs had a great fun playing games & doing activities linked to Ancient Rome/Scouting. They built chariots, made Bamboo catapults (the highlight of this was to hit the raw eggs and hit their leaders 😂), played gladiator style games, learned & had the best time playing aqueducts game. To keep it authentic the ate food with an Ancient Rome theme, they made pitta pizza pockets, delicious 😋

A fun day in Killeagh Woods with the Cubs. We started off with Orienteering, then it was onto some shelter building & we finished off with Investiture. Congrats to all that took part especially those that were invested. We didn’t get many photos because we were having too much fun :)

Huge congrats to Abbie on becoming our Cub or the Month Feb/Mar 2018 (Tuesday Group). Abbie is a bright eager Scout, she picks up the scouting skills quickly and will then happily help her younger peers. Been our 4th O Driscoll Abbie had big boots to fill and she is fitting them perfectly. Well done Abbie 😀

Last Sunday The Beaver Scouts joined 370 other Beavers from around the county in Fota to trek and find 8 Bases in the woods to perform activities. They made foaming Volcanoes, built giant catapults, competed in Tug of war, built a shelter, played giant hoop toss, walked the planks, blindman trail, packed the backpack and scaled the rope bridge. It combines so many Scout Skills. They went home tired and muddy. Job done. 👍
