Hello all just leaving a quick message here to ask anyone who can to donate €10.00 to Niamh Byrne to fund her trip to Asia. Hey everyone! For June/July Niamh is heading to Laos, South East Asia to help communities in need to provide them with safe drinking water, refurbish infrastructure and to teach English in the local school. Learning English ensures that the children have a stable and secure future ahead. For the families themselves, elephants are their only source of income and with the increase of the logging trade their numbers have drastically reduced. This volunteer programme has also connected with a conservation clinic that rescues elephants around these communities. These elephants are then brought back to health and provided with a safe habitat. As she is studying a zoology degree in UCC she thought this was a great opportunity for her to take to ensure that she can carry on helping animals that are in need like this in the future.
