Weed of the Month- Convolvolus ! On occasion called 'Convulvus' ( and lots of more unrepeatable names), it really is a very beautiful thing, if you can stop the job of angrily ripping it out by the armfuls and really look at those exotic pure milky white or pale pink trumpets of flowers and the soft spear-shaped leaves. Of course we're not allowed to admire or tolerate it, as it's anti-social behaviour is considered most unacceptable, storming uncontrollably up trees and over borders, twisting tightly and strangling all in the process. Arising from thin little springy stems that snap very easily, it is very hard to trace and dig out and usually arrives from the neighbour's garden (probably though a tiny hole in the wall!) or from under a immovable object in a completely inaccessible corner of the garden. Anyway have a sneaky moment of enjoyment before you rip it out 😏 #irishgardens #wildflowers
