Next up we have Fionn Dalton who will be taking on the role of the Baker alongside Cara Íosa Wixted who will be playing the Bakers wife. The Baker: This man is scared by past abandonment and is just trying to get by in life. Because of the lack of a male’s influence, he can’t grasp the reality of being a man, a husband, or a father. As we progress through the show, he learns life is messy and no one is truly alone. The Bakers wife: A mid-western house wife type desperately seeking for her life to be different. She's not sure if she knows what she wants. Her wishes vary between having children to a more glamorous life of royalty.

Next up we have Lauren Gammell taking on the role of Little Red. Coming from a life of privilege, this little one must learn to be more cautious. Her carefree lifestyle comes in contact with dangers beyond her imagination. How she deals with these situations will force her to take a good look at herself and everything she thinks she knows.

Next up we have Dylan Tuke and Leah Byrne taking on the roles of Jack and Jack's Mother. Jack: Feeling he has no friends in the world, he finds solace in the family’s cow. Unable to read his surroundings, he lives his life in dream land. It’s not until he trades the cow for magic beans that his gigantic adventures begin. His quest up a beanstalk teaches him lessons he never thought he would learn. Jack's mother: A single mother left by a dead beat husband to raise a clueless son whose imaginary friend is a cow. This is a woman who loves her son but wishes he would grow up. She has been beaten down by a life of poverty until her son finds a golden hen. How will she handle this new found way of life?

Next up we have Holly Prestage taking on the role of "Cinderella". Cinderella is a young woman tormented by her stepmother and stepsisters. All Cinderella wants is to go to the Prince's ball — but she doesn't know that also meant landing a Prince. In Into the Woods, Cinderella does marry her Prince, but she learns being a Princess isn't everything she'd hoped for.

Next up we have Alanah Murphy taking on the role of "Rapunzel". Rapunzel is a beautiful yet sheltered young woman confined to a tower who longs to be treated like an adult and to experience life. Rapunzel is something of a tragic figure in Into the Woods — held captive in a tower by a mother that wants the best for her but firmly believes in tough love. She struggles to maintain her sanity after a traumatic upbringing.

First up we are delighted to introduce you all to Doireann Hurley who will be taking on the role of "The Witch". After losing her mother’s magic beans, she is cursed with “ugliness”. She believes that if she can reverse this curse she will be able to secure an everlasting life with a child (Rapunzel) she has kidnapped and kept in a tower. She curses her neighbours - the baker and his wife to be barren but cannot undo her curse until they complete her fetch quest from the woods. While vain, self serving and sarcastic, as the show goes on we see that she's insecure, lonely and ultimately just as human as everybody else. Through her journey, she comes to realize that her wish will not bring her the happiness that she has longed for and decides to take her fate in her own hands.

StageFright is back today at 1.15pm .. come along and be careful as you enter into the woods!!

Stagefright classes will resume on Saturday the 11th of November after the midterm break. We look forward to announcing our cast of "into the woods" then ☺️.

Auditions will take place for "Into the Woods" tomorrow during class. Students will be auditioned individually during Stage Fright. Please note that it is not compulsory for our students to audition however we would encourage them to do so. We look forward to seeing them all tomorrow.

We are really looking forward to tomorrow's StageFright class where we will be giving our students the info required regarding the upcoming auditions for into the woods. They will be given information regarding the auditions and what will be required etc.. If you or your little ones would like to try out StageFright for the first time then class will be on tomorrow from 1.15 to 3.15 at Studio 55. PM us here on FB for any further info.
