An introduction to coding and robotics using the Crumble controller. Small schools science project met this evening in Kilkenny Education Centre and produced some super coded buggy’s/cars. A really great project generously supported by the Irish American Partnership. 🚀
Thanks To St Joseph’s for this fantastic video. ‘G3 zoomed by with their Scientastically AMAZING Balloon Cars today!!🏎👌🎉🌟’
“Remember to look up at the stars and not down at your feet. Try to make sense of what you see and wonder about what makes the universe exist. Be curious. And however difficult life may seem, there is always something you can do and succeed at. It matters that you don’t just give up.” Stephen Hawking
Great pictures from St Joseph’s CBS NS. They constructed and raced ballon powered cars. I wonder who won? Brilliant work once again 🚀 https://stemeducational.ie/products/moving-vehicle-class-set
Miss Hogan’s 5th class in Grange NS made Mother’s Day cards with the space themed card resources .. They really all did a fantastic job 🚀💥 https://stemeducational.ie/products/space-themed-paper-circuit-card
Lá fhéile Pádraig sona duit 🐍🇮🇪 Convection snakes. They can be used with a t attached also. I made using a jumbo straw and base made with foam (little bit of plasticine would work perfect too). I popped a pipe cleaner into the straw and balanced tip of snake around it. The science bit: Convection currents. Explained simply the hot air moves upwards and the cold air falls to take its place. This process repeats itself to form convection currents which forces the snake to move and spiral. The movement of air molecules causing the snake to move. Here are Mrs English’s 6th class, Dromore NS, Co.Donegal, collaboratively working and creating ‘Drawbots’ as their activity for Engineer’s Week. The class had a ‘Drawbots’ race at the end which ended up being quite competitive. They also tied this in cross-curricularly and learned a song called ‘Robot R33’ for Seachtain na Gaeilge. 🚀🚀 Amazing work, well done to all. Just fantastic to see.
