The ROLLING SUN BOOK FESTIVAL, set in Westport, County Mayo, is a quirky boutique festival that indulges bookworms and connoisseurs of music, song and poet Set in the shadow of ancient spiritual mountain, Croagh Patrick, it evokes the many layers of Irish culture in the best bardic and poetic traditions.
An exciting line up of readings, talks, music and reveling has been announced for the Rolling Sun Book Festival which takes place from November 15th to 17th.
A weekend of literary fun awaits in Ireland’s best place to live – the beautiful town of Westport, under the shadow of Croagh Patrick.
Highlights include comedian Ruby Wax, historian Diarmaid Ferriter, best selling children’s writer Karen McCombie, comedian Gerry Stembridge and journalist Hillary Fannin
With book launches and plenty of music as well as exotic food from Saba, a weekend of fun and relaxation is guaranteed.

Get yourself in the mood for Bloomsday! Strolling Through Ulysses in Castlebar Library Bawdy, irreverent and great fun, Strolling Through Ulysses! unlocks Joyce's masterpiece, bringing the characters to life and unraveling the mysteries. Take a deep breath as you travel on this whistle-stop tour through Ulysses with all the fun and laughter which is the backbone of this extraordinary and iconic novel. Joyce once famously declared about Ulysses "there is not one serious line in it." Strolling Through Ulysses! certainly proves that! This is the story of Bloomsday in all its gory glory, quirky characters and curious events. Presented by life-long fan by Robert Gogan, the stroll starts on Monday next at 8pm in Castlebar Library. Our great friends Coda have a concert in Christ Church, the Mall, Castlebar, this Saturday the 28th of January. Tickets available from The Galway Roast Castlebar and Clew Bay Hotel, Westport at €20. Doors will be open from 7:30pm and the band will be live from 8pm.
