Waterford Heritage Multimedia Centre is part of Waterford Wexford Education Training board (WWETB) and has been in operation since 1985 successfully delivering training in areas of Heritage, Tourism, Multimedia and Computers. From 1999 to 2013 we became a designated ICS skills (Irish Computer Society) training centre offering ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence) certification in the seven modules in the Microsoft Office Suite. Since 2013 we have been delivering QQI Major Certification training at levels 4 and 5. Major certification delivered to date include; Information and Communication Technology Skills (Level 4), Employment Skills (level 4), Office Administration (level 5) and Contact Centre Operations Skills (level 5). Sample modules delivered to date include Payroll, Bookkeeping, Customer Service, Information and Administration, Communications, Reception and Frontline Office Skills, Word Processing, Text Production, Business Administration, Marketing and the principles and practice of Selling. All our tutors are fully qualified in HR Management, Business, Sales and Marketing, Finance and Recruitment and all have experience in Industry.
What makes us different:
This programme is a mechanism for Waterford Wexford Education and training Board to engage with individuals who for various reasons could not avail of organised forms of learning delivered in an institutional context. The delivery of an education and training programme that is locally based has been proven by our centre to be more effective at promoting engagement in learning. Our LTI targets people who through, either social personal or geographical factors are disadvantaged in terms of access to the labour market or mainstream education and training courses. Our programme is unique as it provides a personalised and more intensive support to the participating learner than mainstream education or training courses. Learners participating in this programme engage in development in areas of knowledge, skill, know-how and competence relevant to their own identified needs.
Our training is delivered to the highest standard and over the years our Centre has been fundamental in many students gaining full time jobs with others progressing to further and higher education.

LTI QQI Level 5 Major Award in Waterford City Waterford LTI a QQI Level 5 Major Award:- Marketing Business Customer Service. It includes 8 weeks on the job training (secured locally). It is a Waterford Wexford ETB QQI Level 5 Major Award (Full Time Course) Modules Include: Customer Service Principles & Practice of Selling Business Administration Skills Contact Centre Skills eBusiness Marketing Practice Communications Work Practice (In Company Training SECURED) Limited places available. 100% WWETB funded. FREE LEVEL 5 TRAINING QQI MAJOR AWARD The LTI Programme is a 100% Waterford Wexford Education Training Board funded training programme. Our aim is to provide training to those in receipt of various allowances including: Job Seekers Benefit and Job Seekers Allowance. On completion of the course learners will receive a QQI Level 5 Major Award which will give them the skills required to pursue employment in a wide variety of sectors including call centre, retail or office environments. Employers are currently recruiting people with these skills and there are a variety of employment options available on completion of the course. Limited places are available on the programme. Learners must be in receipt of one of the payments listed above, be 17 years of age or over, have computer literacy and be registered with Intreo. This full time programme will run for 48 weeks.
