DONATION REQUEST: FISH TANK Our 4 resident goldfish (Freddy, Fiachra, Fionn and Fergal) need a large fish tank. They used to live in a boat in the garden but we decided to bring them inside where they'll be more comfortable. We urgently need a bigger fish tank for them. BACK TO EDUCATION INITIATIVE TRAINING Kilkenny/Carlow ETB is offering a QQI Level 3 Module - 'Growing Vegetables' at Forward Steps. Date: Starting at the end of January (if sufficient numbers apply) Time: Mondays 10am-1pm for 10 weeks Location: Forward Steps Resource Centre, Tullow The course is free to eligible participants who meet one of the following criteria: *those who are in receipt of a social welfare payment *holders of medical cards and their dependents *learners with less than upper second level education (less than 5 D's in the Leaving Certificate) NB: the course will only proceed if there are a sufficient number of participants. 2017 Update Hi everyone, as the new year begins we'd like to draw your attention to the following: Children's Computer Coding Classes - two 6-week coding classes are commencing on Wednesday 11th January for children aged 7-12. Intermediate class is 4-5pm and beginners class is 5.30-6.30pm. Cost is 5 euro per child per week (family rate available) Parent and Toddler Group - runs every Monday morning and is recommencing on Monday 9th January 11-12.30. Cost is 2 euro per family per week. New members are welcome New2U Charity Shop - we urgently require donations of clothing/footwear in good condition for our charity shop. The shop is staffed completely by volunteers and all profits go towards services for families and children in the area. Items can be dropped into Forward Steps Resource Centre Homework Support Group Volunteers - we urgently require volunteers (over 18) for a Homework Support Group we provide in conjunction with Tullow School Completion Programme (Mondays and Tuesdays 3-4.30pm) Charity Shop Volunteers - we require volunteers (over 18) to work in our charity shop in Tullow Town (Mon-Sat - time to be arranged) Contact Sharon on 086 1895684 or 059 9152776 for information or to register for the above programmes.
