Nóiníní Beaga is an Irish Language Playschool (Naíonra) and Montessori..Syngefield Business Park, Birr, Co. Offaly noininibeaga@gmail.com Nóiníní Beaga is Birr's first and only Irish language playschool! It is the only form of education through the medium of Irish available in the Birr community.
It opened it's doors late August 2011 and had it's official opening at the end of October 2011. We were delighted to have T.V. personality Bláthnaid Ní Chofaigh be there on the day and officialy open it for us!
We have added a Montessori section and hope to incorporate the total immersion structure of the Naíonra with the methods of Maria Montessori.
Nóiníní Beaga can cater for up to 20 children and from September 2012 it held two sessions to meet the large demand of children enrolling.

Big Start
Our director Eimear recently met with Marcella Corcoran Kennedy TD where she pledged her support for the SIPTU Big Start Campaign. Eimear outlined the challenges that early years educators are facing.
Our last Campa Samhraidh takes place next week from 12th to 16th August for children aged 3 to 7 years. 10am to 1pm each day. There are still a few places left. If anyone would like to put their child's name down, please let me know. Eimear 😊

After the Prime Time investigates programme which aired last night we would like to assure all parents and interested parties that Nóiníní Beaga is compliant with all Tusla regulations. WE ARE HIRING!! Naíonra Nóiníní Beaga are seeking an Early Years Educator for our Naíonra ECCE room (2-3 year olds). The post is 5 mornings per week in a sessional service. The post is a fixed term contract from September 2019 until June 2020. Applicants should have a minimum level 5 qualification in Early Childhood Care and Education but a Level 6 qualification would be favourable. Applicants should have at least 1 year's experience in a preschool setting. We seek a candidate with basic Gaeilge but open to learning and developing their vocabulary over time.
