The Joker is still hiding. Congrats to Eithna Adams who won €50 when card No 53 was turned in the search but it was the 2 of diamonds. Winners of the €10's were Pamela Smullen, Jacinta Joyce, Roseanne Keane, Gerry Dwyer and Joey Dolan. The next draw is on Wed. 26th July and the Jackpot will be €2,400. Stuart Grehan had a solid level par 72 as did Paul McBride and John Ross Galbraith to help Ireland into 4th position (10 shots behind leaders) after the 1st round of the European Men's C'ship. Hopefully good scores tomorrow to get into the top flight in the match play. Top eight teams qualify
Best wishes to Stuart Grehan and the Irish Men's team in the European Amateur Team Championships which takes place at the Diamond Country Club Atzenbugg Austria starting tomorrow up to 15th July. The course has played host to the Lyoness Open on the European Tour only three weeks ago and will be a tough challenge. The 16 top teams in Europe play two rounds of stroke play with 5 of the 6 cards counting each day. The top 8 teams go into the top flight draw. A tough assignment but Ireland has a strong team. Picture is of Tullamore's Stuart Grehan and team mate Paul McBride (the Island) both Leinster Golf. Let's hope the sun shines for them and they play well.

Mick Fox, Kevin Doheny, Tony Colville and Martin Dunne were winners of the hampers in the draw. Thanks to all who supported the weekend competition and the draw for hampers. Congrats to Stephen Fitzgerald on finishing in 8th position in the Munster Boys C'ship at Faithlegg G C today. Great performance Stephen. Onwards and upwards from here
Well done to Stephen Fitzgerald who made the cut in the Munster Boys C'ship at Faithlegg G C today. Only 43 made the cut. Stephen finished in Joint 16th place on 2 over par, just 6 off the lead, and he has played very steady golf over the two days. Well done Stephen and play well tomorrow. Another one keeping Tullamore Golf Club in the news.
Martin Darcy going nicely in the Irish Seniors Close C'ship at Malone Golf Club where he easily made the cut into tomorrow's final round. Play well Martin tomorrow.
