What a brilliant bike Race. 2018 Strade Bianche in pictures. A fantastic ride from Lotto Sudail rider Tiesj Benoot who bridged over to the two leaders , Romain Bardet and Cyclocross world champion Wout van Aert and then attacked on the penultimate climb, never to be seen again taking his first professional win. Conditions, as expected were treacherous on the the strade bianche sectors with many riders coming a cropper along the way.

Well done to everyone who braved the elements and rode today. Today was a day where you just banked the miles, kept the pedals turning and got through it. We did 98 k and it felt like200k. Fair play to every rider in the Tullamore groups and all the other clubs we met on the roads, doing the same thing. It was cold, wet, dirty and hard going. You don’t have to be mad to ride on days like today.....but it is a great help !!!!
